Redmi Turbo 4 Pro limited edition: A Harry Potter-themed phone most of us won’t be able to buy | Technology News

Xiaomi is not just known for its value-for-money smartphones; the brand is also popular for producing unique limited-edition devices. A few weeks after introducing the Iron Man-themed Poco X7 Pro, the company has now launched the Harry Potter-themed Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which caters not only to Harry Potter aficionados but also to anyone who values a good mid-range smartphone.

A phone that mimics the iPhone 16

The standard version of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro looks very much like the iPhone 16 with its flat glass-metal sandwich design and two vertically stacked camera setups. With a starting price of 1,999 Yuan (Rs 23,436, approximately) it is a lot more affordable than the iPhone 16 (review). The Redmi Turbo 4 Pro special edition featuring Harry Potter is currently limited to China and might not launch in other markets.

In terms of performance, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro feels almost like a flagship. It is the first smartphone in the world to be based on the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, offering at least 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, while the high-end variant features 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage.

Harry Potter everywhere

Coming back to the special Harry Potter edition, it comes in special packaging, with the phone itself featuring a custom Harry Potter-themed back panel, including the camera array. Even the accessories have been designed to match the Harry Potter theme, including a custom case, SIM ejector pin, box, charger, and themed documentation.

The Redmi Turbo 4 Pro also runs on a custom version of HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15, featuring Harry Potter-themed icons, wallpapers, and UI elements throughout the operating system.

There is a ray of hope for Indians

While Xiaomi has never launched a Redmi Turbo series smartphone in India, it is speculated that the brand might bring this device under the Poco branding, possibly calling it the Poco F7, considering the fact that the brand introduced the Deadpool edition Poco F6 in India. Even if this happens, there is no guarantee that the Harry Potter edition will be introduced in India, considering the Iron Man-themed Poco X7 Pro never made it to the Indian market.
