Poco X7 series with MediaTek Dimensity chipsets goes official: Check price, specs, and other details | Technology News


On Thursday, Poco launched the Poco X7 and the Poco X7 Pro, two mid-range phones that come with huge batteries and powerful MediaTek Dimensity chipsets. Running on Xiaomi’s HyperOS out of the box, both phones also come with Google Gemini and a bunch of other AI features aimed at enhacing productivity. Here’s a quick look at what the Poco X7 series has to offer.

The Poco X7 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset based on TSMC’s 4nm process and comes with a 6.67-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED screen protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Available in three colourways, the Poco X7 comes with a dual-tone back panel with a squircle shaped camera island that houses a 50MP Sony LYT -600 primary camera alongside an 8MP ultrawide shooter. On the front, you get a 20MP selfie shooter, which should be clear enough for taking selfies and video meetings.

Running on HyperOS based on Android 14 out of the box, the company says Poco X7 will get three years of Android updates and four years of security patches, which might be a bummer for some as most phones nowadays run on Android 15. It packs a 5,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, which the company claims can charge the phone from 0-100 per cent in about 47 minutes.

Featuring the Dimensity 8400 Ultra chipset, the Poco X7 Pro has a slightly larger 6.73-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED screen protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. Similar to the Poco X7, the Pro model also comes with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 20MP selfie shooter.

However, unlike the non-Pro variant, the Poco X7 Pro runs on Hyper OS based on Android 15 out of the box with the company promising three years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches. The Poco X7 Pro also has a larger 6,550Mah Silicon Carbon battery that supports 90W fast charging.

Both phones come with IP68 and IP69 dust and water protection, meaning you can submerge them in water for some time without any problem.

The base variant of the Poco X7, which comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 19,999 while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version can be bought for Rs 21,999. On the other hand, the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version of the Poco X7 Pro costs Rs 24,999 while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage can be purchased for Rs 26,999. The Poco X7 will be available for purchase from January 17 while the Poco X7 Pro will go on sale on January 14 on Flipkart.
