Oppo Find N5 will go official in third week of February: Here’s what we know so far about the world’s thinnest foldable phone | Technology News


Oppo has been teasing the Find N5, its upcoming foldable phone for quite some time now. In a previous video shared on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, Oppo’s Find series product manager said that the upcoming phone will be barely thicker than a USB-C port.

Now, a company executive has confirmed that the Find N5 will be coming in the third week of February. This will be the first time Oppo will be launching its latest foldable in markets other than China. However, in markets where the phone maker does not operate, the Find N5 might be sold as the OnePlus Open 2.

Oppo hasn’t shared details on the exact launch date, but the book-style foldable phone is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

The Find N5 is also said to be IPx9 water-resistant, meaning it will be able to handle high-pressure high temperature water jets. Rumour also has it hat the phone has a 6.85-inch 120Hz LTPO AMOLED screen with a 2K resolution It is expected to pack a 6.000mAh battery that supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

And while not much is known about the camera, the Oppo Find N5 is said to get a major camera upgrade and include a telephoto macro camera.

Oppo’s upcoming foldable phone is set to be incredibly slim, measuring around 4mm when unfolded, meaning it could dethrone the Honor Magic V3, which is currently the slimmest foldable you can pocket right now.
