On Wednesday, Apple unveiled the newest and most affordable member of the iPhone 16 family—the iPhone 16e. Powered by the same A18 chip as the iPhone 16, and with a starting price of Rs 59,900, this is also the most affordable iPhone that gets Apple Intelligence. Pre-orders will begin at 6:30 PM on February 21, with availability starting on February 28.
The iPhone 16e will be available for pre-order through both physical and digital Apple Stores. As of now, Apple has not listed any additional bank discounts for the iPhone 16e. However, users can receive up to Rs 67,500 off by exchanging an eligible smartphone, along with a free, no-cost EMI plan for up to 24 months.
Customers can also place a pre-order request through participating third-party mobile retailers. We recommend choosing stores with an “authorised reseller” badge to ensure day-one availability.

The iPhone 16e comes in two classic shades—white and black—featuring a premium metal-glass sandwich design with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Apple offers the iPhone 16e in three storage variants: 128GB, 256GB, and 512 GB.

The iPhone 16e will cost Rs 52,006 (599 USD) in the US before taxes, Rs 55,183 (CAD) in Canada, Rs 56,910 (5,099 HKD) in Hong Kong, and Rs 57,808 in Vietnam (16,999,000 VND).

What’s in the box?
The iPhone 16e’s retail packaging is similar to that of the iPhone 16. The box includes a USB-C to USB-C cable, documentation, and a SIM card ejector tool. Apple offers three months of complimentary Apple TV+, Apple Music, and Apple Arcade subscriptions with the purchase.
Apple has also introduced multi-coloured silicone cases for the iPhone 16e, priced at Rs 3,900 each. Brands like Spigen and Dbrand also offer various protective case options for the device.
