Casio, a company known for making digital watches, recently unveiled its first ring-sized watch. It also happens to pack a miniature display that shows time in classic Casio fashion.
Despite being less than an inch in size, the new ring watch has a seven-segment LCD screen that can display hours, minutes and seconds. It even has three physical buttons that let you display the date or time in a different time zone and access the stopwatch feature.

As you can see in the image above, the ring watch even has a tiny case with bezels made of stainless steel. The screen has a light source, which can be used to check the time in darkness. Interestingly, since the ring watch does not feature a speaker, the tiny watch flashes the screen when the alarm goes off.
While the Casio ring watch may look like a good alternative to smartwatches like the Galaxy Ring, it does not offer any fitness tracking features like sleep tracking, heart rate measurement or blood oxygen level monitoring.
According to the machine-translated version of the website, the company says that the “intricate modelling of the Casio watch is reproduced in detail with a ring-sized full metal design.” Casio also says the ring watch is waterproof for “daily use” and that it has a replaceable battery that can easily last 2 years. The ring size is 20mm, but the package also includes spacers for size adjustments for 19mm and 18mm inner diameter.
Dubbed CRW-001-1JR, the new ring watch was created to celebrate Casio’s 50th anniversary. It will be available in Japan in December for 19,800 yen, which translates to around approx. Rs 10,810.
