Before 2024 ends, here’s a set of new smartphones hitting the market | Technology News


We are almost at the end of 2024, and there seems to be no end to the smartphone launch spree. With just a few weeks left this year, a compelling lineup of smartphones are on their way to India. While most of them are high-end Android devices, there is also one budget smartphone that could be a game changer in the 5G adoption.

Oppo Find X8 series

Oppo just confirmed the launch of its latest flagship series — Find X8 and the Find X8 Pro in India. Arriving on November 21, both devices are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC and are high-end smartphones with an emphasis on camera prowess, featuring a triple/quad Hasselblad-tuned camera setup. Other highlights of these devices include a high-density silicon carbon battery, a premium glass sandwich design with an IP69 rating, and they will also be the first set of smartphones to launch in the country with Android 15-based ColorOS 15.

realme GT 7 Pro

This will be the first Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphone to launch in India. Launching on November 26, the latest flagship smartphone from realme is touted to be one of the most capable Android smartphones, period. It is also expected to offer the best of Android hardware and software, and it could also end up becoming one of the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered phones in the country.

iQOO 13

The iQOO 13, arriving on December 3, will be another Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphone. Just like its predecessor, the upcoming device will also continue its BMW M Motorsport collaboration, and this time around, the iQOO 13 will also come in a special Nardo Grey finish, which is said to be inspired by the iconic racetrack of Italy. Again, a high-performance Android smartphone with a premium design, it is also expected to ship with Android 15 out of the box.

vivo X200 series

vivo’s flagship X series of smartphones are known for their camera capabilities, and the latest vivo X200 and the vivo X200 Pro smartphones are expected to launch in India by early December. Just like the Oppo Find X8 series, the vivo X200 series is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip with a Zeiss-tuned camera setup. This time around, vivo has emphasized the zooming capabilities using a 200 MP telephoto lens.

Redmi A4 5G

Amidst all these upcoming flagship smartphones, Xiaomi is launching a budget smartphone — the Redmi A4 5G, powered by the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 SoC, and it is expected to be one of the most affordable 5G smartphones in India, priced under Rs 10,000. Launching on November 20, the smartphone has a 50 MP main camera, a glass back design, and the company has also confirmed that the phone packs a 120Hz refresh rate display.
